President Langley gave a Foundation Status Report to the NVMA membership at the noon luncheon on Friday and announced that Dr. Jim Sears has donated the bronze owned by his recently deceased brother, Dr. Gary Sears, to the Foundation. It will be sold at auction next year.  Significant donations have been received to fund a Memorial Scholarship in Gary’s name and the proceeds from the bronze will be added to that fund.  Details about the auction will be determined by the NCSF board of directors.

Dr. Roy Gehrt, representing the Team Ropers of the NVMA, donated their residual funds of almost $5,000 to the Foundation to further the goals of Veterinary Scholarships.

A FUN fundraiser, the “Hero Caper” was conducted at the NVMA banquet resulting in over $ 900 contributed to the foundation. Thanks to all who participated.

A special thanks was given to those individuals who support the foundation’s goals by contributing $50 or more annually.  If you are not currently a sustaining member but would like to be, simply mail your check of $ 50 to NCSF, Inc., PO Box 296, Alliance, NE 69301
