CE Requirements

Veterinarians

  • CE hours: 32 every 2 years
  • Management topics: 8 hours out of 32 are allowed
  • Self-Study: 8 hours out of 32 are allowed but carry specific requirements. View requirements


New 2022 Continuing Competency Requirement for veterinarians who prescribe controlled substances: 3 hours of the 32 hours of CE are required to be on the subject of opioids and .5 hours of the 3 hours are required to be on the subject of the PDMP (Prescription Drug Monitoring Program).

Technicians

  • CE hours: 16 every 2 years
  • Management topics: 4 hours out of 16 are allowed
  • Self-Study: 4 hours out of 16 are allowed but carry specific requirements
