Good morning. Nebraska held its primary election yesterday with a record turnout from a majority of voters casting early mail-in ballots. For the nonpartisan Unicameral, the top two vote-getters (regardless of party) advance to the November 3rd general election. All 19 of the current Senators seeking re-election advanced through the primary, with only one Senator (Republican Senator Andrew La Grone) coming in second behind his opponent, Democrat Jen Day. If primary election results hold, there would be a gain for Republican-held seats in the body. Results are below and also on our election website, where you can also find bios of all of the candidates and district maps.
